Abstract

In a business system, consumers are the most critical elements. A business is not review in separation but is always considered in a combination with the consumers of its good and services. it is a matter of great shame that their consumer rights are not protected due to non-availability of effective and stringent laws and the ineffectual redressal mechanisms, specially in e-commerce or online transactions. E-commerce consumers should be no less protected when shopping on-line than when they buy from their local store or order from a catalogue. The number of electronic commerce (e-commerce) transactions has grown extraordinarily with widespread Internet usage. Recently, the privacy protection for consumer transactions has become more and more important in e-commerce. E-commerce is widely used to describe shopping on the Internet. It has been rapidly developing in accordance with the development of information technology and network technology. However, most of these laws and regulations have only been made for the protection of general consumer rights without specific provisions of the consumer rights protection in e-commerce.
